Spider-man

Check out Spider-man (aka Tal) hanging Christmas lights on our roof this afternoon:

Harper's 1st Thanksgiving

We celebrated Thanksgiving in Salter Path with Tal's family.
When we arrived, Savannah hugged Grandma Barbara and then drove her Jeep
around Grandma's yard until lunch:

Dreaming of a Pink Christmas

This evening Savannah and I set-up and decorated the
pink Christmas tree in her bedroom:

Savannah hung most of the ornaments,
and the tree is beautifully imperfect:

Savannah feels extra special having a Christmas tree in her room...

...and loves sleeping with the Christmas lights on!

Damage Control

Last night Savannah found the scissors, chopped off her bangs...

...and gave herself a mullet:

 Lovely, isn't it?

I wanted to cry.

Today the hair stylist did some damage control
and gave Savannah a pixie cut for the holidays:

Savannah was the mommy princess today. She got married.

Savannah and a friend went to the movie theatre to watch The Band Perry, Miranda (Lambert), and Blake (Shelton).

Savannah did a great job working with her friends to match dots and numbers.

Savannah was amazed at how many bugs we saw outside today. She said it was crazy!

Savannah dressed up as a princess today.

Savannah pretended to be a swimmer today because she likes swimming in the water.

Savannah had fun trying to fly our kite today.

Savannah got dressed up and was a princess today.

Savannah liked dancing while we listened to music outside.

Savannah drove her scooter to buy ice cream on this warm day. She had chocolate ice cream.

Savannah liked playing in dramatic play. She pretended to cook in the kitchen.

Savannah liked connecting building tiles and stacking them on top of each other. She did a great job counting the tiles.

Savannah liked making a tower with legos.

Savannah liked playing in dramatic play. She was the mommy.

Savannah enjoyed decorating her own Thanksgiving placemat.

Drummer Boy

Two months ago, our family started attending a new church. Last Sunday Tal played drums with the worship team for the first time. Savannah loves watching Daddy play the drums. In fact, she won't go to Children's Church until AFTER Daddy is done playing the drums.

Tal loves playing the drums. It's part of who he is. When Tal's playing, he's "in the zone:"

Operation Christmas Child

Last Saturday, our family helped our church fill over 100 shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child:

Earlier in the week, Savannah and I went shopping at Dollar Tree,
where we bought school supplies, toys, and hygeine items for needy children.

Operation Christms Child was a great opportunity for us to
give generously and to show Savannah how to love and serve others:

Our family is praying that the children around the world
who receive these shoeboxes will know that Jesus loves them
and accept Him as their Lord and Savior!
