11 weeks!

Although I'm only 11 weeks,
I feel (and possibly appear) about 5 months pregnant
...thanks to my bloated baby belly:

Tal and I are looking forward to our next OB appointment on April 10
and praying for a good report and strong heartbeat!

(Thanks to Savannah, my budding photographer,
for taking my bump picture above.)

Preschool Memorable Moments

Savannah's daily report includes a memorable moment from her day at preschool. Below are some of our favorites:

Savannah did a great job counting to 50 when we were counting our pennies to make 50 cents.

Savannah had a baby doll in dramatic play. She said she was practicing for her baby brother or sister.

Savannah and her friends pretended a tornado was coming. She hid under the table to get away from the tornado.

Savannah practiced writing her friends' names on the dry erase boards. She would look at her friend's cubby and copy their name on the board.

Savannah did a great job identifying opposites while we were reading The Foot Book. She said the opposite of healthy is sick.

Savannah enjoyed showing her baby pictures during show and tell. She told us all about the birthday party at the park. She is so excited!

Savannah had so much fun spinning during music time that she got dizzy and fell over.

Savannah enjoyed playing a pizza counting/math game on the computer.

Savannah loved singing songs in Spanish today.

Savannah said most of her numbers in Spanish. She was so proud.

Savannah organized her friends to dance together today. They held hands and danced in circles.

Savannah played "family" with her friends in dramatic play. She was the mom!

Savannah and her friends played princesses. They pretended they were going to a ball.

Savannah pretended to be the Cat in the Hat during dramatic play.

Savannah is gonna be a big sister!

Savannah is gonna be a big sister!

I'm 9 weeks pregnant and due in October!

In this 6-week ultrasound photo,
our baby was 4 mm long with a beating heartbeat:

At 9 weeks, our baby is only half and inch long.
Yet, during our ultrasound last week, we could see the baby's heartbeat,
head, feet, arms, legs, elbows, and knees.
Everything looked great on the ultrasound, and our baby is developing right on schedule!

Thankfully, I haven't had any morning sickness...just queasiness in the car or after I eat.
I'm exhausted all the time, but I'm feeling good most of the time.

This baby is an answer to our prayers. Our family is so thankful and excited!
Savannah can't wait to be a big sister!

Harper's 1st Birthday Party!

Today our family celebrated Harper's 1st birthday at Benny and EJ's house!

On their front door,
EJ hung a wreath that her aunt made to welcome birthday guests:

EJ did a great job planning Harper's party!

She selected a sock monkey theme...

...with a purple and pink color scheme:

EJ included many personal details,
which made the party even more special:

In addition to the snacks above,
Benny, Kenny, Barbara, and Tal grilled hamburgers for everyone:

In their backyard, Benny and EJ had a
bouncy house for the kids to play on:

Here's Savannah sliding down the slide upside down:

In the forefront is the small slide/basketball hoop that
Tal, Savannah, and I gave Harper for her birthday:

EJ made Harper's adorable birthday tutu:

Harper's Smash Cake

Harper didn't like wearing her birthday hat very much:

After we sang Happy Birthday, Harper ate her smash cake...

...and made a big ol' mess:

We had a great time celebrating Harper's birthday!

Evening Bike Ride

Savannah got a "green light" at preschool today!

To reward Savannah for her good behavior,
Tal took her on a bike ride around our neighborhood:

With temps in the 80's, it was a perfect evening for some Daddy-Daughter bonding...

...and a ride around the block!

Tal and Savannah had a great time!

Read Across America: Hat Day

Thursday was Hat Day, so I wore my red and white striped hat
to tie in with Dr. Seuss's book The Cat in the Hat:

To celebrate Dr. Seuss's birthday and Read Across America,
students and staff wore hats to school:

This week my school celebrated Dr. Seuss's birthday and Read Across America with some special dress-up days. To correlate with Dr. Seuss's book I am Not Going to Get up Today, students and staff wore their pajamas to school:
