Day Trip to Southport

Savannah, Grandma Judy,
and I took a day trip to the waterfront town of Southport, NC:

We boarded the ferry at Fort Fisher and rode 25 minutes to Southport:

The seagulls looked for food behind the ferry:

Southport has some beautiful historic homes:

When we arrived in Southport,
we ate lunch at the Cape Fear Restaurant on the waterfront:

After lunch, the three of us walked on the pier and beach:

Savannah collected seashells and loved throwing them in the water.

When Savannah threw the seashells in the water,
the seagulls gathered around...in hopes of catching some food:

After a couple hours in Southport, the three of us boarded the ferry
and headed back to Fort Fisher and then to our hotel:

What a fun day trip!
