Savannah's first week in Kindergarten was grrrreat!
Savannah is so excited about school...she was socially and academically ready for Kindergarten. She's done a good job walking to and from her classroom, walking in a straight, quiet line in the hallway, and listening to her teacher.
Savannah loves her teachers Ms. Hunter and Mr. Wilson. Savannah also enjoys leaving her classroom for recess, lunch, and specials each day. She has a different special class each day: library, music, P.E., art, or science. Savannah likes hanging out in the library with me before and after school, as well as going to the Y 1-2 days a week when I have meetings after school.
Our family is still adjusting to the nightly homework routine. Savannah has 15-20 minutes of homework each night. In addition to reading a book together, this week Savannah has been reviewing a different color each day. For example, on red day, Savannah wrote down three items that were red and drew a picture of each one.
Savannah is going to have a great year in Kindergarten!
