Everyday Moments

Life...unedited.
These random iPhone photos are dark, blurry, and untouched,
but they capture everyday moments from the last couple weeks.

Sunday morning snuggles:

The girls and I had a "girls night" while Tal went golfing. We ate and played at McDonald's and visited a couple stores:

Hadley has started calling herself "Haddie" and wearing pigtails from time to time:
It's the cutest!

I took this picture (and a video) to remember the first time Hadley sang her version of Jesus Loves Me (which I sing to her every night at bedtime):

Last Monday Savannah helped me at school on a teacher workday. We took a break from work and ate lunch at Panera:

Last week Savannah found out that her 3rd grade teacher will be Mrs. Cole:

On the 4th of July, the girls and I went to the mall, where we played in the play area, visited a few stores, and ate lunch in the food court:

Fountains at the mall:

Playing at PBKids at the mall:

On the 4th of July, we did fireworks at home with Grandma Barbara. At dusk, Savannah and Hadley enjoyed throwing Popits and holding sparklers in our driveway:

Then, we stood on sidewalk...

...and watched our neighbors shoot off fireworks:

On July 5, Savannah and Grandma Barbara left our house and drove 3.5 hours to Boone, NC:

They spent the night in a hotel and went to Tweetsie Railroad:

Savannah, who is tracked-out from school until July 28, is spending this week at the beach with Grandma Barbara. While Savannah has been gone, Tal and I finished her mini bedroom makeover. Here's a sneak peek of the desk/study area we created for our rising 3rd grader. I'll post more pictures after Savannah comes home:

When Tal demoed our half bath last week, he put the toilet in our garage. The next day, Tal left the door to our garage open while he was ripping out the bathroom tiles. Well, Hadley peed in the toilet when Tal and I weren't looking. Haha:

Over the last couple weeks, Tal and I have been heartbroken to discover that three of our favorite restaurants have gone out of business. Since then, we have been looking for a new favorite burger restaurant, BBQ restaurant, and Italian restaurant. Last Friday, we tried a new family-owned burger place downtown. It was delish:

Over the last week, Tal trimmed all of the bushes and trees around our house. On Saturday, Tal, Hadley, and I spent two hours taking two truckloads of landscape waste to the recycling center across town because our nearby recycling center was full and was not accepting any landscape waste. Bummer:

One day last week, I was so proud when Hadley put on her underwear, shorts, and top correctly and all by herself. Another day, Hadley put on her shirt backwards and would not let me change it:

Last Friday night, I took Hadley to urgent care. Although Hadley is on an antibiotic, she still had some pain this weekend. She was fussy and often wanted to snuggle:
