Spring Vacation 2018: Part 6 (School Lunch)

Today Grandma Judy, Hadley, and I surprised Savannah at school! We picked up Chick-fil-a for lunch and then ate with Savannah and her friends in the school cafeteria. We enjoyed spending some time with our favorite 3rd grader!

Spring Vacation 2018: Part 5 (Collage of Memories)

Below is a collage of memories from our spring vacation in Wrightsville Beach! We will miss Grandma Judy when she leaves on Tuesday, but we will treasure the memories from our vacation and look forward to seeing her again in July (for some more fun in the sun)!

Spring Vacation 2018: Part 4 (Fun in the Sun)

On April 27, we slept late and got to the beach around 10 A.M. Grandma Judy and I relaxed in our beach chairs, while the girls played in the sand and on the lifeguard stand. We ate a picnic lunch on the beach. It was such a blessing to escape the busyness of life and to have time to rest, relax, and make memories together.

The weather was gorgeous! It was sunny, warm, and in the mid-70's. The ocean, on the other hand, was freezing cold, so we didn't spend much time in the water (just to wash off the sand on our hands and feet).

Grandma Judy helped Savannah do a handstand on the beach:

Spring Vacation 2018: Part 3 (Lifeguard Stand)

On Wrightsville Beach, Savannah and Hadley loved playing on the unmanned lifeguard stand in front of our hotel. The stand didn't have a "no playing" sign, so the girls spent several hours climbing and jumping from the stand, as well as sliding down the sand hill with other kids on the beach. They had so much fun!

Spring Vacation 2018: Part 2 (Beach Bums)

On April 26, we hit the beach after we checked into our hotel. Grandma Judy and I relaxed in our beach chairs and watched the ocean waves, while Savannah and Hadley played in the sand. It was a gorgeous day!

After relaxing on the beach for a few hours, we loved swimming in our hotel's indoor pool:
